As a welding consumable manufacturer, Postle Industries take our responsibility in supporting our customers supply chain and compliance departments seriously. The most common documents required form us are a certificate of conformance (COC), and a Safety Data Sheet (SDS – formally known as an MSDS).
The COC is a certificate of authenticity and quality, related to each individual batch or LOT of wire produced. Many customers prefer to have a COC on file after purchasing wire from us for verification their goods are genuine, and for audit purposes.
The SDS falls under the globally harmonized system of classification and labelling of chemicals (GHS). This document identifies ingredients contained in the product, as well as information on substances, mixtures, and all chemicals where a trade secret is claimed. Of course, it does not include information about the specific concentration or formulation of the product, as it’s considered proprietary information!
The unique chemistry we have used to make Duraband NC, is the same today as when it was launched in 2007. It strikes the perfect balance between wear resistance, casing protection, and reliability of reapplication. There is nothing better than the real thing – and we will support our applicators with the documentation to prove they got it.
