Description: The 5614 is an External Taper Gauge for measuring the taper on API Casing and Line Pipe in sizes from 7-14″ OD. As part of the economically priced 5600 series of stable, durable taper gauges, it features interchangeable Tungsten Carbide contact allowing it to be used on various thread types. These are “hands on” gauges, easily enabling the user to maneuver into the best position to get the desired measurement.
The dial indicators have a travel of either 1/2″ or 1″, graduated in 0.001″ increments, with a required API accuracy of 0.001″ over their entire range. The metric dial has graduations of 0.01mm and complete compliance to API specifications through the 25mm range. It also accepts the complete range of Allen Contact Points.
All taper gauges are furnished with 2 Allen Ball Points, a certificate of compliance to API specifications and a fitted box.
