Dorsey – Extreme Harsh Environment Package
Dorsey Metrology’s “Extreme Harsh Environment Package” sells for $625, depending on the comparator model.
It is available on all Dorsey’s comparator products as a factory installed option.
Designed to protect the optical chamber using a positive airflow Dorsey seals the optical chamber and provides a regulator to connect an airline pressurizing the chamber.
This prevents outside contaminates from entering the chamber, thus keeping the comparator’s image bright and the systems mirrors, inner optics, electronics and other internal components cleaner.
This option is ideal when Dorsey comparators need to be used on shop floors where contaminants that effect precision equipment are commonly found.
