Model 1251-B, Groove Width Gauges, 8-5/8″ to 13-3/8″ External
Groove Width Gauges are used to check API buttress casing threads.
Each gauge consists of two Tungsten carbide balls preset to specific parameters using the 1233-C template.
Determination of proper groove width is then made on a go/no-go basis.
1251-A, for external sizes up to 7-5/8″
1251-B, for external sizes 8-5/8″ through 13-3/8″
