Description: The 5554-E is an Internal Taper Gauge. The 5554-E has a 1″ dial range that allows the user to inspect the larger tapered connections. This gauge has a range of 5″- 14″ Internal Diameter. The 5554-E is unique due the fact that the range is adjustable through the use of stainless steel extension rods. The desired rod attaches to the 5554-E Indicator allowing the gauge to be able to inspect a wide variety of sizes by connecting different rods.
The dial indicators have a travel of either 1/2″ or 1″, graduated in 0.001″ increments, with a required API accuracy of 0.001″ over their entire range. The metric dial has graduations of 0.01mm and complete compliance to API specifications through the 25mm range. It also accepts the complete range of Allen Contact Points.
All taper gauges are furnished with 2 Allen Ball Points, a certificate of compliance to API specifications and a fitted box.
All taper gauges, except the 5619 and 5624, are furnished with a fitted carrying case.
